About Novouralsk Culture Department

It was found in 1954. At present 17 cultural and art institutions of our town (taking into account the countryside) and 11 branches with over two thousand in number are under the authority of Culture Department. Culture Department is one of not many departments of the Town Administration, which is a juridical person and has two accounts in two banks.

As culture directing body in town the department solves the problems of vital activity ensuring of institutions in all directions (economics, personnel, normative basis, legal questions, etc.)

The workers of the Department have to fulfill complicated analytical works, prepare management decisions in various spheres of activities, preparation and organization of exhibitions, public showings, contests, festivals and so on, and so forth from a town to an All-Russian scale.
